Our Staff

Rich is the lead pastor here at Aldersgate Abilene Methodist Church. He graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore Kentucky and West Texas A&M University in Canyon Tx. He is passionate about helping people encounter Jesus as Savior and Lord, preaching and teaching the Bible, and helping people hear and respond to God's call on their lives!

Favorite Scripture: "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith..." Hebrews 12:2 

Samantha has been a member of Aldersgate Abilene for several years and accepted the position as Church Administrator in early 2023. Keeping people first enable her to serve the congregation, staff, and those who visit the Academy and Aldersgate to the best of her abilities.

Favorite Scripture: Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.    - Romans 12:2

Leah has been at Aldersgate since August of 2021. Leah loves people and truly sees her position as a ministry. She attended Amarillo College and has an Associates in Data Processing.

Favorite Scripture: The joy of the Lord is my strength. Nehemiah 8:10

Cheri came to Aldersgate in July 2021. She has an Associates in Child Development. She loves watching the eyes of children light up & hearing them tell their parents what they've learned in Children's Church/Sunday School.

Favorite Scripture: And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church. - Ephesians 1:22

Jon is passionate about reaching out and ministering to people digitally. Jon has a Bachelors in Digital Entertainment from Abilene Christian University.

Favorite Scripture: I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me  from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. Psalm 34:4-7

Van is our talented organist and has been at Aldersgate for over 30 years.

Favorite Scripture: The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. - Psalm 23

Tina has been at the Aldersgate Academy for over 10 years. She loves making a difference in the lives of the Academy families and in the lives of the teachers. 

Favorite Scripture: Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ, God forgave you. - Ephesians 4:32

Jennifer has worked at Aldersgate Academy since August 2021, but has been in childcare for 8 years. She loves making an impact in the lives of children at the Academy and supporting teachers in providing meaningful, engaging learning experiences.

Favorite Scripture: Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.- Colossians 3:23-24

Kenny is from Kirbyville, Texas and loves Aldersgate. He not only is our maintenance guy - he loves greeting our church family and visitors each Sunday morning.
