Lamplighters are a vibrant and dedicated group who believe in lifelong learning and service. We are made up of empty nesters, retirees, couples, and singles. Current membership is primarily adults 40+. The class engages in weekly lessons taught by both members and guest speakers, with emphasis on Biblical concepts. The class covenant is themed on Renewal—including regular renewal to become better disciples for Jesus, renewal of our friendships through study and fellowship, and renewal of our commitments to Aldersgate Abilene in a variety of service roles. Adult Bible consists of members aged in their 60s, 70s, and 80s. All are welcome to join. We usually go over the sermon notes or use a Bible study guide that is designed for deeper study. Cornerstone is a loving, caring group supporting each other through life's trials and celebrations. We learn how to be better disciples of Jesus Christ through personal testimony, various video series, and lessons from multiple sources. The Cornerstone class leadership is its members, each contributing to each person's learning experience and individual growth through a discussion class format. For ages 20s-30s, this class is led by our College and Media Minister, Jon Hayden. He teaches Bible lessons that are centered around relating everyday life issues and skills to the lessons that are taught within the Bible.

Our Youth Sunday school class provides a welcoming environment where students can explore their faith, ask meaningful questions, and discover what it means to follow Jesus in everyday lives. Using Talk Sheets, students engage directly with Scripture while discussing real-life situations, faith questions, and challenges they face as young Christians.

Our Elementary Sunday School class helps children grow deeper in their understanding of God, His Word, and what it means to follow Jesus. The class uses the Seedbed curriculum, which includes a short video, engaging activities, and a handout that helps children connect with and apply each lesson.

Our Littles Sunday School class provides a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate environment where children can learn about God and grow in their faith. Using the Seedbed curriculum, each lesson includes a short video, hand-on activities, and a hand out to help reinforce the Bible lesson.
