We invite you to learn more about our fellowship at Aldersgate Church by visiting one of our many Sunday School classes. Please browse the listing below to learn more about these classes and find the one that's exactly right for you.

  • Cornerstone Class: We have a common desire to share God’s Word with each other and to have a little fun along the way. This class operates as a discussion and uses a variety of biblically related curriculum materials.
  • Renewers Class: John Wesley said, “Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can.” Providing meals for the Love and Care Mission congregation and the students attending The Oaks, mentoring Bowie Elementary students, working at the Methodist Food Pantry, celebrating Christmas with DRI residents, and tending our neighborhood's community garden are some ways we attempt to follow Wesley's words. Our Bible-based lessons are taught by a variety of teachers in lecture and discussion style. If you are interested in fellowship, friendship, and opportunities to serve, this is the class for you. Come serve with us.
  • Wesley's Open Door Class: We believe that all questions, philosophies, doubts or concerns — whether political or religious — that pertain to Christian faith in life are dealt with by scripture. This class studies the Bible systematic material using topical materials presented as a lecture and followed by discussion.
  • Adventurers Class: Being single is not always easy. A close friendship and concern for each other is very evident when you enter this group.
  • The Compass Class: This class is open to college students of all ages.
  • Lamplighters Class: Lamplighters chose their name based on a tradition that we felt had helped create a common bond between us in the early days of the class. This class has fun and fellowship while learning and serving. All ages welcome.
  • Adult Bible Class: A close-knit group whose members sincerely care for one another, our primary goal is systematically studying the Bible.
  • The Jesus Class: Faithful women and men who delight in serving the Lord, this group of men and women from MHMR (Mental Health Mental Retardation) grace the fellowship each Sunday.
  • The Quest: Mostly couples in their 30's and 40's with children of all ages. We have engaging conversation about Scripture.
  • Terra Nova: All are welcome to this class of disciples or seekers in their 20s and 30s. Come join the fastest growing sunday school class at Aldersgate!
